Will the water not flow if the drain valve is chosen to be too large? Is there any way?
By size, it should refer to the displacement volume; normally, this shouldn’t make a difference. If the displacement is high, the opening/closing frequency of the internal valve seats might be higher, and over time the valve seats could fail or have a poorer sealing effect. Paying a little attention to this should be sufficient

It shouldn’t happen; rather, the frequency of activation should decrease. The steam traps in our distillation towers are selected based on the maximum possible load, but in practice they never reach that maximum level of operation

It will definitely leak. Moreover, the steam trap itself isn’t 100% airtight; even if you choose one that’s suitable, leaks will still occur. Steam traps are usually selected to be larger in size, about three times the amount of condensate produced
