Can I come back to do design work after starting at the client’s company?
As long as there’s a design institute willing to hire you, of course you can come back. I’ll say a few more words for your reference. Question: Why would a design institute hire you? Answer: Have the capabilities (it could be professional design skills, management abilities, networking skills, project management expertise, lower costs, or...)
I agree with President Ming’s view; the key is to understand what the design institute values in you, and to possess the skills that the institute needs. If one only sees that the employer offers higher salaries and decides to switch jobs temporarily to work there for a while before wanting to return to the design institute, it is necessary to think carefully about one’s own strengths and determine which kind of design institute would need such a person.
