Recently, we have been conducting COD tests almost every day. When purchasing the COD analyzer, the distributor said that reagents, digestants, cuvettes, and other items were essential, so we purchased everything according to the standard requirements. But it turned out that the reagents were used up quickly, and purchasing them separately would result in a high cost. I would like to ask whether anyone knows the method for preparing digestants and catalysts using the potassium dichromate method to determine COD. Is it true, as the instrument suppliers claim, that the accuracy of measurements cannot be guaranteed when such preparations are made oneself? Which national standard document should be referred to?
Just configure it according to the national standards; the supplier’s claims are all meant to deceive those who don’t know much about the subject.
