Is there any activated carbon that can withstand high temperatures of 600-700 degrees? Generally, since activated carbon contains binders, at this temperature range the binders evaporate, causing the activated carbon to break down into powder. Are there any relevant resources or sales channels? I have a need. Used for phosgene synthesis.
Do you need zero powdering, or is powdering below 3% acceptable? The pulverization rate of the activated carbon we use here at temperatures above 850 degrees is still acceptable!
It is possible under anaerobic conditions. Because the activation temperature for coal-based activated carbon is above 900°C. If oxygen is present, it won’t work; activated carbon with a ignition point above 450°C is still very rare.

So it’s not entirely clear why you chose this temperature or activated carbon, but I still think you need to consider the process conditions carefully. Personally, I think activated carbon is not suitable at this temperature; if one has to choose, wooden or coconut shell-based activated carbon could be considered.
