Question: In Figure 8.2 of the \"SH/T3122-2013 Standards for the Design of Process Piping in Refining Plants\", why can option b be used while option c is not recommended? I think the piping layout for option c is more symmetrical than that for option b; I’m not sure why. Please help me understand this

I remember that when designing heating systems, the piping could be arranged in series or parallel configurations; it’s easier to balance the resistance in a series configuration, and C should be the best option
