Because the operating pressure of the air compressor is less than the design pressure of buffer tank B, there is no need to add a safety valve.
Buffer tank AB can be regarded as a pressure vessel group. Buffer tank A is equipped with a safety valve, so buffer tank B does not need to be equipped with a safety valve.
Experts say that the air compressor station is too far away from the work section and a safety valve needs to be installed. This is a bit unreasonable, right?
Buffer tank A already has a safety valve, and buffer tank B will not cause pressure due to misoperation due to other reasons, so there is no need to configure a separate safety valve~
The setting of the safety valve must take into account many overpressure conditions. If a fire occurs only around B, the pressure of B may be too high.
The first point of Article 9.1.2 of TSG-21: Pressure vessels within the scope of application of this regulation should be equipped with overpressure relief devices according to design requirements. When the pressure source comes from outside the pressure vessel and is reliably controlled, the overpressure relief device does not need to be installed directly on the pressure vessel. In this picture, the pressure source comes entirely from the air compressor. If the air compressor safety valve setting can meet the discharge requirements of the air compressor, then buffer tanks A and B do not need to be equipped with separate safety valves, and buffer tank A has a safety valve, which is more reliable.
