For practical needs, a mobile trolley was built, equipped with 2 methanol storage tanks (each with a capacity of around 8 cubic meters). Due to process requirements, it is necessary to move this trolley temporarily to a factory building or another location; however, neither of these places is an explosion-proof area – they are ordinary factory buildings. Do not confuse this with the transportation of hazardous materials. For such transportation, there are minimum requirements: operators must have the appropriate qualifications, vehicles need to be regularly inspected, and both drivers and escorts must be properly trained before taking on their duties. It addresses the explosion-proof measures that need to be taken in areas where methanol is stored or used; such measures are definitely necessary for flammable gases as well. It is also possible to consider treating it as a Class A factory building; check whether the area in the Class A zone exceeds 5% and whether there is effective separation. Then, there are no mandatory requirements regarding how transportation should be carried out within the factory area. With a small quantity used, bulk materials without designated storage tanks are all transported using a similar method. Finally, for that 16-ton methanol shipment from Miao, can’t we lay a pipe and install a pump? . . Doing this just makes one’s hair stand on end. Moreover, the residual liquid at the interface after the removal of such mobile tanks spreads everywhere; what if there’s a source of fire, or an accident occurs or something like that? . .
