What is the principle and function of an initial rainwater tank?
The function of the initial rainwater tank is to collect the rainwater that falls in the factory area right after it starts to rain, thereby preventing pollutants present in the rainwater from being discharged directly into the rainwater drains. In other words, it serves to separate clean water from polluted water. After a certain period of time, the switch valve can be used to allow the water to be discharged directly into the rainwater drains
According to the \"Code for Environmental Protection Design of Chemical Engineering Construction Projects\" GB 50483-2009, initial rainwater refers to the rain that has just fallen, namely the rainfall during the first 10–20 minutes of a single rainfall event. The production wastewater from chemical engineering construction projects contains initial rainwater, so it must be collected and treated before it can be discharged into the park’s sewage network. The standard approach for calculating initial rainfall is to determine the amount of rainfall that falls over the first 10–20 minutes across the entire facility. However, if the office area can be separated from the production areas, and the rainwater and wastewater systems can be kept separate as well, then the rainwater from the office area, which does not contain any wastewater from production processes, can be discharged directly into the municipal rainwater system. This also reduces the strain on the wastewater system.
It is likely that the initial rainwater will carry pollutants from the surface, potentially contaminating the environment, so it needs to be collected and treated. After the initial washing by rainwater, the subsequent rainwater is relatively cleaner, so the requirements can be reduced
Are there any standards regarding initial rainwater ponds?
Collect initial rainwater to achieve separation of rainwater and wastewater.
