What is the purpose of adding bypasses before and after this metering pump? :)
Green: Prevent backflow when the valve before the pump outlet is closed, to protect the metering pump? Red: Backflow of the safety valve when the valve before the pump outlet is closed
Open it before starting the pump; after startup, slowly close the bypass valve while monitoring the pressure to prevent pressure buildup due to blocked backflow, which could damage the equipment. Try not to use the bypass to regulate flow – instead, use stroke control to reduce energy consumption!
Wasn’t a safety valve backflow already designed? Why add an extra bypass?
The backflow of the safety valve serves to protect the pump; if there is backflow, it means that the overpressure safety valve has activated. The safety valve must not be activated!
Backflow occurs through the return line; it cannot flow back through the safety valve
One is the safety valve circuit, and the other is for switching during inspection and maintenance
One for minimum flow and one for overpressure protection
