Can the instrument alarm of a stationary device be disabled?

Dear teachers, due to efficiency reasons, one of the two units in the company has been shut down. The instrument tags are showing alarms, and the alarm information panel is filled with alerts related to this disabled unit; moreover, these alarms cannot be dismissed. Is it possible to disable the alarm functions for the instruments on that disabled unit? **Are there any regulations regarding this?
Production units that are temporarily shut down must maintain proper maintenance records and logs. Decisions regarding which units should be shut down and which cannot should be based on the safety status of those units (including interlock signals), with the aim of ensuring the safe and stable operation of other units. **There are no such regulations.
Each case must be analyzed on its own; production cannot simply be stopped just because of that. As long as there are materials available, as well as safety facilities such as alarms for flammable and toxic gases, production must continue.
