Oil and gas projects and chemical projects

Let’s discuss which has better prospects: oil and gas projects or chemical engineering projects. The original poster is in Chengdu, where there are many companies involved in the oil and gas industry; the sources of projects come mainly from several local oil and gas companies as well as those in Xinjiang. For process-related work, knowledge of long-distance pipeline systems is necessary, while pipeline installation doesn’t hold much promise (most work involves modular units). The scale of these projects is relatively small – it’s already considered good if one can manage a single wellsite. Oil and gas projects are much simpler than chemical engineering projects, and since they involve subcontracting, it seems that the knowledge acquired isn’t comprehensive enough. I myself have a background in chemical engineering; I’ve worked on many chemical engineering projects over the years, and now I’m looking for a chemical engineering design firm in Chengdu. I’d appreciate some advice
For oil and gas projects, CPECC should be a good choice; for chemical projects, turn to design institutes such as Chengda and Tianyi
However, it’s not possible to get into Chengda CPE
If Chengda cannot get in, then turn to pressure swing adsorption, or approach the company that owns the facility, such as BASF.
It’s not the Double First-Class institutions that have seen progress – it’s Chengda Design Institute
