We have a vent valve installed on top of our concentrated sulfuric acid storage tanks; this vent valve is used to release air into the atmosphere. Sulfuric acid is a non-volatile acid that contains trace amounts of sulfur dioxide dissolved in it. However, within the limits specified by national standards, there is no need to empty such storage tanks, as the sulfur dioxide dissolved in the sulfuric acid only begins to precipitate at high temperatures. Hydrochloric acid and nitric acid are different cases, though. lol
