Do root valves have to be installed at all the pipe connections where pipes meet equipment outlets? What determines it?
It depends on what kind of process and equipment are used
It is usually added to facilitate cutting off.
Looking at the process design, for the overflow/vent ports – what if a valve is left open by mistake?
