I would like to ask the experts: Our company is an ion exchange membrane manufacturer, and the brine produced by us must not contain free chlorine, as this could damage the resin used in the secondary brine process! The results have always been normal, as free chlorine was the parameter being measured. By chance, effective chlorine was tested, and the result was as high as 23 milligrams per liter, while free chlorine remained at zero. Question: Effective chlorine refers to the effective oxidizing components (this expression might not be precise; please forgive me), but doesn’t it also cause resin poisoning?
