Spheroidizing agents are certain metals or alloys added to molten iron to obtain spheroidal graphite cast iron. The development of ballizing agents plays an important role in promoting the production of ductile iron. Therefore, it is essential to apply the spheroidizing agent in a comprehensive, rational, and thorough manner in order to achieve the desired spheroidization effect. It is thus necessary to understand the factors that influence the spheroidizing agent in order to make effective use of it and maximize the rate of spheroidization. Factors affecting the quality of ballizing agents include: composition, particle size, shape, density, and content. (1) The composition of the spheroidizing agent is incorrect. (2) The spheroidizing agent has become powdered, and the alloy particle size does not meet the requirements. (3) The density of the ballizing agents varies greatly; some of them float to the surface quickly, resulting in excessive reactions and no guarantee of safety. (4) Excessively high content, poor spheroidization treatment, and excessive amount of spheroidizing agent added. (5) Rapid degradation after spheroidizing treatment. (6) The tendency toward white cast iron is high after spheroidization. These factors are the basic elements that affect the spheroidization effect! It is also the most important factor; I hope everyone can understand this.
