For outdoor insulation, what are the alternatives to insulated iron or aluminum sheets, for example for short-term use of half a year?
Insulating rock wool or aluminum silicate wool is used to wrap the equipment, after which glass fiber cloth is wrapped around it several times; the wrap is then tied together with wire, and gray paint is applied. This is how we insulate some of our irregular-shaped devices. I’m not sure if this is the answer the original poster was looking for
Agree with the opinion from the third floor: wrap it with glass fiber cloth and then paint it. However, such a method is generally suitable for pipelines with a relatively small diameter.
Pipelines are mainly pipelines below DN100
Well, this was used in many places before; nowadays there are still insulating materials available with aluminum foil attached to them. I’m not sure what the effectiveness of these is
Agreed. In areas where it doesn’t rain much, painting may not be necessary, thereby reducing costs.
Is the cost of aluminum foil higher or lower than that of glass fiber cloth? Aluminum foil should provide a good level of brightness. Rock wool or aluminum silicate is used for insulation; as for the materials used to secure the insulation on the outside, they just need to be durable, aesthetically pleasing, and inexpensive
Use heat-insulating material for warmth retention, and cover with aluminum foil for cold insulation
It’s higher than glass fiber, but glass fiber requires a second coat of paint as well as labor costs
