According to news from April 2, 2025, **information from the Intellectual Property Office shows that Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Yan’an Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. has obtained a patent titled “Vacuum Extraction System for Improving the Vacuum Level of Condensing Steam Turbines,” with the approval announcement number CN 222702016 U. The application was filed in April 2024. The patent abstract states that this utility model discloses a vapor seal extraction system for improving the vacuum level of condensing steam turbines. It includes a steam turbine, with a positive-pressure side and a negative-pressure side of the turbine connected to a first vapor seal unit and a second vapor seal unit, respectively. A pressure equalization tank is connected between the first vapor seal unit and the second vapor seal unit. The first vapor seal unit and the second vapor seal unit are each connected to a vapor extraction heater via a first extraction pipe and a second extraction pipe, respectively. By applying two layers of steam sealing to the negative-pressure side seal of the turbine, this utility model can effectively prevent air from entering the rear cylinder, thus avoiding damage to the vacuum level of the exhaust system and reducing oxygen-induced corrosion. It allows for precise control of the pressure in the sealing chamber on the negative-pressure side of the condensing turbine, thereby maintaining the appropriate vacuum level during normal operation of the turbine.
