Ball tank area: two rows, 4 tanks in each row, with the spacing meeting the specification requirements. If the discharge port of the safety valve for a single tank is DN250, what diameter should the main pipe for the safety valves of the entire tank cluster have? Are there corresponding standards? For a DN250 outlet, a DN300 valve is generally sufficient for safety purposes, according to Taishen Valves
It’s not appropriate to just give you a number; I need to calculate the pressure drop and Mach number first
What I mean is whether we need to consider the simultaneous discharge of safety valves from two or more storage tanks. If that is taken into account, the main pipe for the flare system will need to be very large – DN450 might not even be sufficient
If those jars are not all within the fire zone in case of a fire, they don’t need to be considered; otherwise, they are necessary
It is sufficient for the diameter of the manifold to be one size larger than that of the outlet of each branch safety valve; refer to GB150 and the Technical Regulations for Safety Valves
