On April 1, the Guangdong Provincial Energy Bureau published its review comments on the energy conservation report for Phase I (II) of the Donghua Energy (Maoming) Alkane Resources Comprehensive Utilization Project. The energy-saving report for Phase I (II) of the Donghua Energy (Maoming) Alkane Resources Comprehensive Utilization Project, prepared by Donghua Energy (Maoming) Co., Ltd., complies with the relevant specifications set out in the \"Guidelines for Preparing Energy-Saving Reports for Fixed Asset Investment Projects\" (2018 edition) issued by the National Development and Reform Commission. The energy-saving commitments outlined in the report meet the relevant requirements; therefore, the energy-saving report for this project is approved in principle. The main construction components of the project include: building 1 set of PDH units with an annual capacity of 600,000 tons, 2 sets of PP units with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons each, along with the construction of utility systems and auxiliary facilities. Project energy consumption and key energy efficiency indicators: After the project is put into operation, the annual comprehensive energy consumption is approximately 1.7368 million tons of standard coal (an equivalent value, including 1.6097 million tons of standard coal for raw material usage); the annual electricity consumption is around 1,033,560 million kilowatt-hours ; For the propane dehydrogenation unit of this project, the comprehensive energy consumption per unit of product is no more than 145.83 kilograms of standard oil per ton, while for polypropylene, it is no more than 47.88 kilograms of standard oil per ton. It is also understood that the Donghua Energy (Maoming) Alkane Resources Comprehensive Utilization Project is located in the Jida Port Area of the Binhai New District in Maoming City, with a total investment of 40 billion yuan and will be constructed in three phases. Once completed and put into operation, the facility will produce approximately 4.5 million tons of propylene, 3.5–4 million tons of polypropylene, 1 million ton of ethylene, 500,000 tons of polyethylene, 100,000 tons of butadiene, and 200,000 tons of hydrogen per year, thus becoming a world-class production base for polypropylene.
