Regarding French fire protection standards and GB50016, can we choose either one? When we inspected the fire protection facilities in the factory building, we found many aspects that did not comply with the \"GB50016 Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings.\" The design team said that since this is an industrial facility, it falls under the category of nuclear power plants, and therefore the French Etc-F standard should be applied. This standard seems to be quite loose. Is it reasonable for the design institute to do this?
So which standard do you use when specifying design requirements?
Check the design contract to see the design standards specified in it.
I also think that the standards for setting requirements should be the same ones used for inspection
I haven’t seen the contract, but the system design manual provided by the design institute includes the regulatory standards used; both the European ETC-F and China’s GB500016 are listed there together
It can be requested from the design institute. There was a case: when the torch tower for a project arrived, the supervisor checked and found that the welding was not done on both sides of the tower. The design institute cited electrical design codes that allowed welding on only one side; as a result, they were asked to provide the design and supply contract. It was discovered that the contract required compliance with the SH standard, so the goods were returned!

Nuclear power plant facilities should still be regulated in accordance with building codes, as GB 50745-2012 sets specific requirements for them; the original poster might want to take a look at it, as this standard has been recently revised. Additionally, the Code for Fire Protection Design of Nuclear Power Plants, GB/T22158-2008, also serves as a guideline for design purposes~~~

If construction takes place within the country, GB50016 \"Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings\" is a mandatory standard that must be followed; the other standards can serve as supplements
