Soybean meal is a bit sticky; we used rollers before, but the cooling effect wasn’t very good. Is there any way to cool it?
Hello, we specialize in plate-type solid heat exchangers and have experience in cooling soybean meal. What kind of process do you mainly use?
It’s the conventional process: first, drying with hot air; then transporting it via belts and elevators to the cooling stage, and finally packaging it. The rollers currently in use don’t work very well, as the packaged product tends to become compacted. What is a plate-type solid heat exchanger? Where have you used it?
This post was last edited by goldliyang on 2021-8-27 at 11:53. We have used it at a well-known domestic company in Yancheng, Jiangsu; their process is basically the same as yours. The plate-type solid cooler is actually known as a Solex cooler; it represents a new type of water-cooling technology. Hollow plates are used as the heat exchange units, with water flowing inside these plates and soybean meal flowing in between them. This design enables energy savings and provides excellent cooling performance.
