If the condensate temperature is not too high and no heat recovery is required, normal pressure should suffice. There’s no need to seal it either.
It depends on the temperature and pressure conditions of your steam condensate.
For 3Kg of saturated steam condensate, with a temperature of over 100 degrees and atmospheric pressure, what type of storage tank is generally used for such condensate?
Storage requires pressure containment; condensate undergoes flashing, and it can be discharged directly. If the water volume is low, heat recovery is not considered.
We use 5 kilograms of steam; the condensate temperature is around 70 degrees. Q345R material is used, and it operates at atmospheric pressure without being sealed
Temporary storage – what does that mean? It refers to heat retention; the need for such storage is determined based on practical considerations such as whether heat is applied or not, and whether freezing needs to be prevented. It can be at atmospheric pressure, but it must not be airtight (to prevent deformation of the storage tank due to temperature changes)
