Do horizontal tanks of Class A B and Class C with gas sealing require emergency pressure relief equipment?

According to Regulation 6.2.19 of the petrochemical industry standards, fixed-roof tanks of Class A B and Class B that use gas sealing must be equipped with emergency pressure relief devices. So, for a horizontal tank of Class A B with a capacity of 20 cubic meters that is equipped with gas sealing in accordance with Regulation 6.2.2, is it still necessary to install emergency pressure relief devices on this tank?
According to petrochemical industry standards, fixed-roof tanks of Class A B and Class B with gas sealing must be equipped with accident relief devices. However, there are no clear regulations specifying whether horizontal tanks of Class A B and Class B with gas sealing also require such devices; therefore, it is necessary to consider and make judgments based on specific circumstances. It is recommended that when designing and using gas-sealed Class A and B horizontal tanks, professional technical solutions be adopted, and the safety performance of the equipment be ensured as much as possible while complying with relevant safety production standards. .
In accordance with the requirements of Petrochemical Code 6.2.19, fixed-roof tanks of Classes A and B equipped with gas seals must be fitted with accident pressure relief devices. Therefore, even if a 20-cubic-meter Class A B horizontal storage tank is equipped with a gas seal, accident pressure relief equipment is still required to meet regulatory requirements.
