The installation and operation procedures for second-hand multi-effect or MVR evaporators are as follows: 1. The heater and condenser shall be pressurized to 0.6 Mpa on-site, with the pressure maintained for 2 hours; any leaks must be repaired promptly. 3. Calculate the heat exchange area for each effect, assess the evaporation capacity of this equipment, count the components of this setup, and check for any missing major parts. 4. Conduct on-site measurements to draw the dimensional drawings, process flow diagrams, and layout plans for the individual equipment units. 5. According to the flowchart, count the number and models of pumps and valves on site, and fill in any missing ones. 6. Feasibility of pump and valve operation at the maintenance site. 7. Prepare lists of materials required for the framework, pipelines, and instruments based on the floor plans and elevation views. 8. Calculate the net and dynamic loads on the computing equipment and framework to provide the necessary conditions for the equipment foundation. 9. After installation, evacuate the system and conduct a pressure test on the entire equipment; a pressure of –0.085 Mpa maintained for at least half an hour with no leaks is considered acceptable. 10. Conduct a trial run of the entire equipment using water as the medium for at least 4 hours, and then remove any slag or foreign objects from in front of and behind the pump. 11. During normal feeding operation, it is recommended to run continuously; in particular, the MVR needs 2–3 hours for the system to be able to operate properly.
