I have been working on chemical plant projects recently, and there are still many conceptual issues regarding the location for an acetate vinyl acetate plant that it’s difficult to determine. We have already decided on the process route for producing acetate vinyl acetate using the ethylene method; are there any other factors we need to take into account when choosing a site to expand the ethylene plant? If Yangzi Chemical Plant in Nanjing Liuhe Chemical Industrial Park is chosen, does it need to take into account the market competition from Sellens? Can acetic acid be purchased from Selenis? I hope that my seniors and friends will be able to share and discuss this with me. I’m also very interested in learning about the complete process involved in the ethylene method; all the papers on vinyl acetate production that I found on CNKI discuss the acetylene method.
