Qualified end products such as polyethylene and polypropylene were produced, marking the successful initial trial run of the world’s first integrated coal, oil, and gas conversion project. This is a significant achievement resulting from Shaanxi Province’s efforts to accelerate the development of the energy and chemical industry base in northern Shaanxi and to implement the \"three transformations\" strategy. It will serve as an important model for the deep transformation and efficient utilization of naphtha resources in Shaanxi Province and throughout the country. It is reported that this project is the world’s first large-scale complex facility to produce olefins using coal, oil, and gas as comprehensive raw materials. It comprises 8 main units, including ones for producing 1.8 million tons of methanol per year, 1.5 million tons of residue catalytic thermal cracking products, and 1.2 million tons of polyolefins per year. The project integrates and innovates 14 advanced domestic and international patent technologies; among them, the production of olefins from methanol, catalytic thermal cracking of heavy oils, and water-coal slurry gasification using multiple feedstocks are all independently developed technologies in China that have reached international leading levels. The total estimated investment for this project is 27 billion yuan, making it the largest energy and chemical project in Shaanxi Province in terms of one-time investment. Once operational, it will be able to generate annual sales revenue of over 17 billion yuan. In terms of its process route, this project breaks away from the traditional model based on the use of coal, oil, and natural gas as the sole raw materials, through the optimized allocation of various raw materials and integrated innovation in process technologies ; By making comprehensive use of various resources and optimizing the combination of chemical elements to achieve a balance between hydrocarbons, a new concept for the development of an energy and chemical industry that is green, low-carbon, and based on circular economy principles has been established. This approach improves resource utilization, **reduces the emission of pollutants such as carbon dioxide, and enables the recycling of wastewater and industrial waste with zero emissions. It has been listed as a United Nations \"Clean Coal Technology Demonstration and Promotion Project\". After 3 years of construction and with a total estimated investment of 27 billion yuan, all units in the Yanchang Petroleum Jingbian Park coal, oil, and gas comprehensive conversion project have been brought online, enabling the production of high-quality polyethylene and polypropylene end products. This marks the successful commissioning of the world’s first coal, oil, and gas comprehensive conversion facility. This will play an important role as a model for the in-depth transformation and efficient utilization of national gasoline resources.
