This marks a significant advancement in the localization of aviation lubricant base oils, breaking the long-term monopoly by foreign countries on imported olefin raw materials. It has helped reduce production costs, improved the safety and stability of China’s aviation lubricant supply chain, and provided strong support for the independent development of China’s aviation industry.   Previously, the production of base oils for aviation lubricants in China relied heavily on imported olefin raw materials, which not only kept production costs high but also posed potential risks to supply chain security. With the rapid development of China’s petrochemical industry, not only has the supply of domestically produced olefins increased significantly, but their quality has also improved steadily, creating favorable conditions for the domestic production of base oils for aviation lubricants. In response to the strategic call for the localization of raw materials, Sinopec Lubricants Company, under the guidance of relevant departments, promptly launched an industrial trial project aimed at producing aviation lubricant base oils from domestically produced olefins.   China National Petroleum Lubricants Company attaches great importance to this industrial test, actively organized a project team, defined the responsibilities of each team member, and developed a detailed and scientific testing plan. During the industrial testing phase, the technical team implemented a 24/7 monitoring system to closely oversee the entire production process, and adjusted the operational parameters flexibly based on real-time data. At the same time, regular technical seminars are held to conduct a comprehensive analysis and in-depth discussion of the trial progress, process data, and any issues that arise, ensuring that the trials proceed safely, efficiently, and accurately. After weeks of relentless effort, the production facility successfully manufactured qualified base oil products for aviation lubricants. Tests have shown that all performance parameters of the product meet the expected standards.   Next, CNPC Lubricants Company will continue to optimize production processes to improve product quality and efficiency. At the same time, it will advance the blending and evaluation of base oils for aviation lubricants, so as to make greater contributions to the high-quality development of China’s aviation industry.
