How to extract the useful components remaining in the distillation kettle

A significant amount of useful components are extracted from the residue remaining after distillation. Since the temperature in the reactor cannot be too high, as this would affect the quality of the product, there is a considerable amount of useful components in this residue. Now, I’m looking for ways to reuse these useful components from the residue – are there any good methods?
What substances are involved, and what level of separation is required? If the technical parameters aren’t clearly specified, isn’t this just fortune-telling?
