Recently, a significant breakthrough was achieved in the development of key technologies for the synthesis of tebuconazole, as a result of the collaboration between Yaben Chemical and Su Yuanhai’s research team at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. This innovation involves the use of microreactor technology to upgrade the traditional photobromination process; the related achievements have been granted **patent rights, providing valuable technical references for the upgrading of chemical manufacturing processes in Lanzhou New Area. As a new type of fluorine-containing fungicide, the key synthetic steps for prochloraz traditionally rely on batch reactors, which suffer from issues such as low heat and mass transfer efficiency as well as insufficient light utilization, thereby hindering improvements in the quality and efficiency of production. The joint research team identified the key pain points in this industry with precision, and used microreactor technology to optimize the photobromination reaction process. By establishing reaction kinetics models and conducting calculations using density functional theory (DFT), they verified the feasibility of the reaction mechanism from both experimental and theoretical perspectives, providing solid scientific support for the practical application of this technology and aligning with the new district’s goals for green and low-carbon industrial development. This invention discloses a method for preparing oxime ether bromides based on a photochemical continuous-flow reactor; an organic solution of the oxime ether along with additives are mixed uniformly to obtain reactant A ; Use the bromine-containing solution as raw material B ; Raw material A and raw material B are fed into the inlets of the two tubular channels in the reactor, respectively; the channels in the reaction zone of the reactor are made of a light-transmitting material ; Ultraviolet light is applied to the reaction zone, and the temperature of this zone is maintained at 5–55°C. The flow rates of raw material A and raw material B are both controlled at 0.5–10 mL/min as they enter the reaction zone to undergo the reaction; thereby, the compound of formula III is obtained at the outlet of the reactor. This method not only effectively reduces the content of Z-isomers in the raw materials as well as the Z-isomeric by-products they generate, thereby increasing the conversion rate, but it also allows for precise control over the degree of bromination of the target product, reducing the formation of dibrominated impurities. It is a simple, safe, and efficient method that significantly lowers production costs, offering great potential for application.
