The PDO (1,3-propanediol) bioproduction process is a biotechnological method that uses renewable biomass as raw material to produce 1,3-propanediol through microbial fermentation. The core processes include: raw material pretreatment (preparation of carbon sources such as glucose/glycerol), strain construction (genetic modification of engineered bacteria such as E. coli or Klebsiella), fermentation process (achieving efficient conversion by controlling parameters such as temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen), product separation and extraction (purification techniques such as filtration, extraction, and distillation), and refinement processing. This process features green environmental compatibility, high atom economy, and good product purity, making it an important production technology for monomers of bio-based polyester materials.
