According to a report from Henan Shenma Nylon Technology Company in May 2026, the upgrade project for the homogeneous catalyst addition system in the cyclohexanone production workshop was successfully put into operation recently. This upgrade resolved the bottlenecks in the production process and overcame the key challenges that hindered production. According to Shenma Shares, the homogeneous decomposition system in the cyclohexanone workshop uses tert-butyl chromate as a catalyst. The catalyst is introduced directly through pipes; even with a chilled water jacket for protection, it still undergoes \"thermal decomposition\" when exposed to oxidizing liquids at 128°C, and often becomes ineffective before it can be fully dispersed. The technical team in the cyclohexanone workshop established a project task force; after repeated discussions, they ultimately decided to adopt a technical improvement approach that involved \"nebulized addition + low-temperature exhaust dispersion\". This scheme makes use of the existing pipeline equipment in the plant; by adding a venturi mixer, it ensures thorough mixing of the low-temperature oxidation exhaust gas with the catalyst solution, converting it into a suspension of fine particles. These particles then enter the oxidation liquid pipelines via 2 to 3 channels, where they undergo a decomposition reaction in the decomposition distillation tower T201. This change fundamentally alters the ‘entry form’ of the catalyst, addressing the issue of its premature decomposition in high-temperature environments. Based on actual calculations carried out in the cyclohexanone workshop, the implementation of this project results in a reduction of the consumption of high-pressure cyclohexane by 0.002 t/t.
