Assuming the nameplate of the flow meter is lost, how can one determine the flow direction of the medium? If the direction is reversed, will it affect the test flow rate? How significant is the impact?
The flow direction markers on the flow meter are permanent markings cast onto the body of the meter; how could they be lost?
I’m just giving an example of how to tell, by looking at its appearance, which end of a fluid enters and which end it exits
