The labor costs associated with cable repairs have been reduced by over 30%, while the rate of timely rectification of potential hazards has reached 100%, eliminating issues such as accidental digging… On December 11, reporters learned from the Qingxian Industrial Park of Bohai Equipment Company that the software for visual management of underground pipelines in this park has been fully implemented, enabling a transition from traditional paper-based record-keeping to digital and visualized, precise management methods. This has laid a technical foundation for ensuring safe production and promoting digital development in the various units within the park. The underground pipeline system in Qingxian Industrial Park is complex and intricately interconnected. In the past, it was difficult to determine the location for various excavation tasks, requiring repeated verification by multiple professionals on-site; this not only resulted in low efficiency but also posed safety risks of accidentally damaging pipelines. To achieve digital and intelligent management of underground pipelines, the First Machinery Factory and the Research Institute of Bohai Equipment Company have carried out joint efforts in this area. The First Machinery Factory organized its project team to determine the information regarding 49 high-voltage cable routes in over 30 factories, and to create digital records for these cables; the completion rate for this task was 100%. The research institute has developed customized software for the visual management of underground pipelines, which displays on a park map a clear map of these underground utilities such as water supply networks, power cables, and gas pipelines. Staff can quickly access relevant information by clicking on the indicators for these pipelines on the map. The software is accompanied by a visualization system that features open expansion capabilities; by entering the coordinates of the lines, new cables, pipelines, etc. can be added to the platform. The new lines are automatically matched with the corresponding data standards and integrated into the information management system. This not only solves the problems associated with the cumbersome and error-prone process of searching for information in traditional pipeline management systems, but also provides strong support for the efficient and safe development of enterprises within the park.
