The previous image shows the wires of the temperature transmitter sensor that need to be replaced; there are six wires in total: two red, two blue, one black, and one white. The image below shows the gauge that needs to be replaced now, and it is a four-wire system. Could someone please advise me on how to connect these wires? I need to use the six-wire sensor with this four-wire gauge. Thank you very much! ????????

Could you specify the color code? I have no foundation; I simply can’t understand this. Should red, blue, black, and white be connected to those wires numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in a 4-wire system?

The first image shows a Rosemount integrated temperature transmitter. Those thin lines in the image represent the thermal resistors inside the transmitter; they are not related to the wiring. Usually, a wiring diagram is indicated on the back cover of the transmitter. To replace the transmitter, simply connect the control signals to the 4-20mA output, and that’s it
Are you trying to connect six wires to a transmitter with four wires? If so, the first step is to divide them into groups: one red and black group, and one blue and white group. Only three wires from one of these two groups can be used for wiring.
It is best to use a handheld device to change the instrument configuration to a three-wire system; after making this change, connect 1 to black and 2 and 3 to red. Either 1 connects to white, and 2.3 connect to blue.
If it is not changed to a three-wire system and is still connected in a four-wire manner, connect the wires of the same color to 1 and 2, connect the remaining wire to 3, and then use a jumper wire to connect 3 and 4. It is recommended to change the instrument to a 3-wire system.
