Who usually actually creates the logic interlock diagrams in new projects these days? Is it an instrumentation design engineer from an engineering firm in a design institute, or a system manufacturer? Is it the case that sometimes the drawings are prepared by the design institute, but in reality the content is entirely created by the system manufacturer?
The interlock logic diagram is prepared by the design institute, and then the system manufacturer programs and configures it based on that diagram. Even the most skillful cook can’t prepare a meal without rice; the “rice” for system manufacturers is provided by the design institutes.

As for the scoring criteria: if a project uses a process package provided by a research institute or another organization, such a package usually includes an interlock logic diagram. In this case, the design agency or engineering company is responsible for reviewing and optimizing the interlock logic diagram contained in the process package, and HAZOP is utilized for this purpose in order to optimize the interlock logic diagram. If the project uses a process developed by the engineering company or design institute itself, then the engineering company or design institute is responsible for creating the interlock logic diagrams, usually carried out by the professionals in the process systems field and the instrumentation field. The sequential logic diagrams are usually prepared by the design institute, but during actual configuration, the system manufacturers refer to these diagrams and configure the systems according to the actual conditions. Anyway, that’s how the projects in our company are handled

If the interlock diagram is quite complex, with many functions such as RS flip-flops and various timing modules, it seems that system manufacturers are better suited to carry out this task. I believe this is a highly specialized task, and since there are no standard guidelines, one can only rely on experience. Converting textual descriptions of interlock functions into actual interlock diagrams is clearly something for which system manufacturers have more experience. Also, if I make the interlock diagram incorrectly, will the system manufacturer modify it themselves?
