In SIS operations, if a device is shut down and needs to be started up, the «Reset» button must be pressed. But what will happen or what are the consequences if the «Reset» button is pressed while the device is already in operation?
There should be no reaction, as your system is operating normally. For a successful reset, all the necessary conditions must be met; after the equipment meets its startup requirements, a manual reset is carried out for further confirmation, followed by starting the equipment on-site. If certain conditions are met (such as overpressure), it will trigger actions such as stopping the equipment.
There is RS flip-flop protection for interlocking, so there’s no need to worry
