I used the pc_adapter_usb_a2 adapter to try to connect to the 226 unit in order to modify its program, but I could only select the PC adapter (MPI) driver. When attempting to set the communication rate to 9600 baud, I found that the available options were all 19200 baud or higher; there was no option for 9600 baud, so it was not possible to establish a connection with the PLC. I’m using a virtual machine, with the software STEP 7 MicroWIN V4.0 SP5. I used to use PPI cables, but this is the first time I’m using the pc_adapter_usb_a2 adapter. I hope experts can help me find a solution; thank you. Additional information: I just reinstalled everything within the virtual machine. The PC adapter has only three modes: MPI, auto, and Profibus. I saw that some users mentioned having drivers for the PC adapter (PPI), so I’m not sure what the problem is – which driver should be used for connection?

Check in pg/pc whether the driver is correct, and confirm whether there is an A2 after the driver. When connecting to a 200PLC, it seems that DP should be chosen, with the single main line selected. I haven’t used it in a long time so I forgot; there are plenty of options available online. I guess your drivers aren’t installed properly.
