Choosing the material for instruments – I was really confused when I first started working with this!

I’ve just started working with instruments, and I’m completely confused regarding the materials used in them – it’s so messy! Does anyone have systematic documents, such as guidelines on which type of instrument should be used for which type of medium? If there’s nothing available, what can be chosen? You can’t gain weight in one bite; don’t rely too much on various material selection charts – they are just theoretical. In actual use, various problems will arise, and it takes time to accumulate experience in dealing with them.

Manufacturers’ selection samples usually include a material selection table; find a sample for instrument selection and take a look.
It is selected based on the pressure, temperature, and medium at the site
