There are two Emerson Rosemount 475 units; due to different purchase times, they have different versions – one with a version 3.8 and the other with version 3.3. Is it possible to copy the system card files from the newer version of the 475 to that of the older version, thereby upgrading the older unit to the newer version?

Theoretically, it is not possible to upgrade by directly copying the system card files; an upgrade can only be done using the software on the 475 random discs, namely the Easy Upgrade Utility. Have both of your 475 units exceeded their three-year period of free updates?
The old one is already over 3 years old. I’m not sure if anyone has tried installing a new system card in an older model of machine in order to upgrade the old 475; then using an upgrade software to copy the files from the new system card to the old one, before inserting the old system card back into the old 475 for use
It seems that the upgrade software doesn’t have a function for copying files from the card. I’ve never done this before: inserting a new version of the card into an older version of the 475 to upgrade its system version.

The upgrade toolkit and utilities are available for download on the Aijia official website.
No, definitely do not touch the funds in the account; otherwise the system may become dysfunctional. The 3-year free upgrade is conditional – this code must be provided at the time of selection, otherwise no free upgrade will be granted. If you want to upgrade, you can only contact the service centers in Beijing or Shanghai. Under no circumstances move the card, remember that
The upgrade should involve adding more models; it seems like this is already a quite mature product, and theoretically no further changes are needed.
The upgrade for 475 is necessary because it was purchased early on, and later various manufacturers released new products or updated their models; as a result, the original 475 can no longer support all functions or may not support any functions at all. In such cases, an upgrade can be performed on the 475 to enable it to work with newer devices
It’s not possible to just copy the file directly. After the free upgrade period ends, you can’t proceed with the upgrade on your own, right? .
