The valve is experiencing surge – why?
Is there high resistance in the valve stem or is the amplifier dirty?
How to breathe? What tests has the original poster done? In what mode should I gasp for breath?
Is the air intake fluctuating? Is it operated manually or automatically? Has valve diagnosis been performed?
The gas supply is stable with no fluctuations; self-tuning has been performed multiple times
Is it running an automatic PID loop?
Is the surge you’re referring to caused by the valve being unable to stay stable at a certain point? If it doesn’t stay stable even when operated manually, and there’s no change even after increasing the pressure, you can go to the controller to adjust the Stabilize/Optimize parameter. We use a 475 handheld controller; go to Decrease Response for CDEFG – the response should be slow at first and then faster. If that doesn’t work, then go to Increase Damping. If that still doesn’t solve the problem, it’s time to replace the controller
