Seeking advice: What type of flow meter is suitable for tar pipelines in coal chemical plants?
The pressure guiding tubes of the differential pressure transmitters used with orifice plates tend to get clogged, making them ineffective!
If the operating conditions permit, a metal rotor flow meter can be chosen as it is cheaper.
Target type, wedge type, and double flange all work fine.
Use a wedge design with heating; the transmitter should have double flanges, and a mass flow meter would be better.
A wedge-type design requires heating, the transmitter should be of double-flange type, and a mass flow meter is preferable.
Tar can get clogged easily. Try an electromagnetic flowmeter.
