Does anyone know, for a project that produces 800,000 tons per year of methanol and 400,000 tons per year of ethylene glycol from syngas, how many I/O points there will be for methanol and ethylene glycol after the syngas stage?
Is there no data at all? For the 220,000-ton ethylene glycol project produced via gas synthesis, there are around 2,300 optical instruments.
We are currently working on the basic bidding and PDP processes; there isn’t much data available yet. However, we need to establish a framework agreement for MAV, and many details are still missing – for example, it’s not clear how many I/O points there are, how many of those are AI ones, how many are AO ones, and how many are DI/DO ones. We don’t know any of this yet.
Judging by this, it’s likely very difficult for everyone except those who have done this process before
I only know that 300,000 tons of coal-based ethylene glycol corresponds to over 6,000 points
