Hierarchical computer control system and TDCS

As shown in the figure, there is an introduction to hierarchical computer control systems and distributed control systems; what are the differences and connections between them? They seem pretty similar at first glance Is it just that the hierarchical computer control lacks a CRT display?
Basically, the current distributed control system is called DCS; factory-level production management is called MES, and at the higher level is ERP.
