The pressure in the container is approximately 3–4 KPa gauge pressure; what type of connection is suitable for installing a remote pressure gauge? Flange connection or threaded connection? Or other forms?
Based on the description of the problem, it seems to be related to the connection method of the pressure transmitter. In practical engineering applications, both flange connections and threaded connections are used, each with its own advantages: flange connections offer a wide sealing surface and good sealing performance, but they require higher investment. Threaded connections are simple and practical; their sealing performance does not affect industrial measurements, and they require less investment.
Either one is fine. It’s just this absolute pressure. . . For threaded connections, you can seal them using PTFE tape; if you’re not confident enough, use a PTFE gasket as well. Flange connections go without saying.
In fact, sealing for measuring negative pressure itself doesn’t seem difficult, but small leaks during operation are hard to detect. Positive pressure allows soap water to be sprayed to check for bubbles; it’s more difficult with negative pressure. So it still deserves attention.

Yes, it’s more secure during installation, but the vacuum level here isn’t very high, and the threaded connection is fine as well
