Are there any explosion-proof boxes made of plastic? Thank you
Yes, engineering plastics, such as glass fiber-reinforced polyester.

They have a low explosion protection rating, low power consumption, or are intrinsically safe; some are made of engineering plastics, but such plastics must be filled with aluminum powder or other metal powders that can prevent the accumulation of static electricity, otherwise electromagnetic compatibility requirements cannot be met. For explosion protection, PX purging, and pressure resistance, engineering plastics cannot be used. To be honest, using engineering plastics for instrument enclosures and protective boxes is done to reduce costs, but it generally increases the level of risk. The strength and weather resistance of engineering plastics are far inferior to those of aluminum alloys and steel; I don’t believe any manufacturer would use Kevlar material for instrument protection boxes. If I were working in a frontline workshop, I would absolutely oppose the use of plastic materials for instrument enclosures and protective boxes.
The so-called explosion-proof instrument box generally refers to flameproof design, and plastic cannot be used for it.
