Electromagnetic flowmeters are installed in pipelines; how was the pipeline flowmeter installed in your channel? Ferric chloride solutions cannot use stainless steel electrodes, but Hastelloy or titanium electrodes can be used. It is also possible to use a capacitive electromagnetic flowmeter; such flowmeters do not have liquid-contacting electrodes and rely on inductive measurement, offering the same accuracy as conventional electromagnetic flowmeters.
Send the parameters of the wastewater to the manufacturer so that they can make a choice. There’s no need to worry about it yourself.
First of all, the tantalum electrode is definitely fine. Secondly, is this outlet a round tube? Full pipe? This needs to be considered; if that’s not possible, use a open channel, and then there’s no need to worry about the material.
