When initializing the valve’s stroke, what does each step in the initialization process on the positioner represent? Seeking advice?

Is it Samson’s 3730 locator? For more details, please refer to the manual. Open the front cover – everything seems to be there inside. The key initialization steps are as follows: Step 2 allows you to set the display direction; Step 3 is for configuration settings; Step 4 is for selecting the position of the feedback pin; Step 6 is for entering the initialization mode; Step 7 is the actual initialization process; and Step 36 is for restoring the factory settings.
