I haven’t had much experience working with Emerson Deltav’s DCS control systems. Lately, I’ve been thinking about a question whose answer is not clear to me: 1: What is the status of the channel output attributes when an AO card is installed? Keep the last value, or the maximum or minimum? 2: What is the status of channel meter readings when installing AI/DI cards? Keep the last value, or remain in a bad state? 3: What consequences will the lower-level controller bring? {:1_90:}
1: When installing the AO card for lower-level devices, the channel output retains the last value. 2: When installing the AI/DI card, the readings from the channel instruments also retain the last value. 3: Installing a controller will cause the AO or DO outputs to activate; it is not necessary to install a controller, as each control module can be installed separately.
