Hello everyone, I would like to ask what type of flow meter is suitable for measuring liquid decahydronaphthalene? Electromagnetic? Turbine? I haven’t used it before. Thank you all. I recommend the Coriolis mass flow meter.
It depends on the nature and purpose of your measurement Decahydronaphthalene has a low viscosity, around 2–4 mPa·s at room temperature; orifice plates, vortex flow meters, and rotameters can all be used for process measurement. For precision metering or trade metering, using a mass flow meter is a good choice.

For volumes of 1 cubic unit or less, it’s better not to use vortex flow meters; whether they are suitable depends on how low the flow rate is. Additionally, it’s difficult to ensure accuracy with such devices. If pressure loss is acceptable, choosing DN15 is a more reliable option.
Vortex flowmeters are not very accurate for measuring low flow rates; it is recommended to use mass flow meters, or vortex flowmeters with a very small pipe diameter… If pressure loss is not a concern, differential pressure flowmeters are also a good option……
