The factory uses about 40 tons of domestic water per day. I would like to know what type of flow meter would be suitable; the flow meter should have a 4-20MA signal output
Electromagnetic, turbine vortex street, or balance – any of them will work! Depending on the size of the pipeline and flow rate, a volume of over 1 ton per hour isn’t much. For measurement purposes, balance measurement can be used; it’s also suitable for internal calculations.
Choose an electromagnetic flowmeter, and select the appropriate installation location – it’s best to install it in a vertical pipe with the flow of water moving upward; 10 ahead and 5 behind (multiples of the pipe inner diameter) of straight pipe sections.
If the outer diameter of the process pipeline is not too large, an ultrasonic flow meter with a wall-mounted probe could be considered; in my opinion, domestic models are inexpensive and effective.

Use a tubular ultrasonic flow meter. It performs well at low flow rates and speeds. The price is also relatively low
For water, an electromagnetic flowmeter is definitely the best choice. There’s no need to consider anything else.
Differential pressure is sufficient; how much does a transmitter cost anyway? . .
Electromagnetic differential pressure transmitters are cheaper and easier to maintain; one unit costs around 5k.
